10.00 Kick Off – Cuban Breakfast with Nørding at THE JANE – Gråbrødre Torv.
We serve a Mojito and a cigar made by Rocky Patel for Erik Nørding, a famous danish pipe maker who is also selling his cigars worldwide. In Denmark NØRDING cigars are distributed by Splendid Cigars and sold at Davidoff My Own Blend in Copenhagen.
11.00 Royal Danish Cigars King of Denmark “One Hour” Longest Ash Competition.
The first competition of the day, we will be smoking the 9″x56 KING of DENMARK cigar. Cigars will be handed out at 11.00 and everybody can light the cigar at 11.15 and competition ends at 12.15 – During that time the participants can at any time ask to have their ash measured. The one with the longest ash within the one hour time frame wins. There will be recognition and gifts to no 1, 2 and 3
13.00 Lunch buffet at The Jane with Danish limited edition luxury beer.
We serve a light lunch buffet incl one luxury beer and during the first part of the event and there will be opportunity to buy additional drinks and cigars at reduced prices. Nicolai Edinger from CB Møller will sponsor cigars after lunch.
14.00 Copenhagen Bigsmoke becomes an official organization
Founding meeting to select board members to establish Copenhagen Bigsmoke as an independent reg. organization which activities are defined to enlarge the cigar smoking community in Denmark by making events and to organize cigar tours abroad.
15.00 We now leave The Jane and walk ca 40 min. to Ravelinen på Christianshavn
Those who are not able to walk can take a taxi for about DKK 60 (8 Euro) or if using the METRO system walking time can be reduced by 50%. However with a cigar in hand and good weather this is truly a beautiful walk through the old city of Copenhagen, so bring your camera!
16.00 Second part of Bigsmoke Copenhagen 2014 will be kicked off at Ravelinen with an A.H. Riise rum and personal registration for The Danish Cigar Smoking Championship 2014.
The Danish winner will be sent free of charge to represent Denmark at the Cigar Smoking World Championship on September 5-7, 2014 in Split, Croatia. Marko Bilic from CSWC and his co-judge will be at Bigsmoke Copenhagen to determine the winner. You can learn more about the official cigar smoking rules here – CSWC Rules
16.30The participants take their places in groups of 4.
16.30 The participants choose their Montecristo no 4.
16.45 Marco Bilic from CSWC will be reading the rules.
17.00 The Danish Cigar smoking Championship will begin and is expected to last about 2 hours, the official cigar smoking world record with Montecristo no.4 is 2 Hours and 8 min.
A.H. Riise will tell a little about the rum they are serving to us before and during the championship and again after the dinner. Each participant will receive 4 drinks tickets to try 4 different rums!
19.30 The winner is announced and will receive his flight ticket and admission ticket to Cigar Smoking World Championship in Split. There are also prices for no. 2 and no 3.
20.00 MACANUDO GALA DINNER and JAZZ BAND
Scandinavian Tobacco Group bringing us more great cigars during the gala dinner.
3 Course Menu – The Danish Way!
• Varmrøget andebryst med sprød fennikel, tomat chutney og syltede svampe (Smoked Duck breast with crispy fennel, tomato chutney and pickled mushrooms)
• Langtidsstegt kronvildt med honning braiseret savoykål, grøntsags sauté, ristede hasselnødder, stegte kartofler og vildt sauce (Red Deer with honey braised savoy cabbage, vegetable sauté, roasted hazelnuts, fried potatoes and venison sauce)
• Hjemmelavet rødgrød med fløde og sukker ristede mandler (Homemade red porridge with cream and sugar roasted almonds)
To the dinner 1 glass of white wine and 1/2 a bottle of red wine pr. Person is included. Coffee and sparkling water as much as you like and after the dinner more luxury rum from A.H. Riise. You are of course welcome to buy more drinks from the bar, and Ulrik Hansen from Davidoff My Own Blend will be in place with cigar bar full of cigars at favorable prices!
There is a bag with 5 premium cigars included in the 2nd part of the ticket price and will be handed out when guests are leaving.

The Cigar Smoking World Championship is celebrating its 5th year in 2014. The idea and concept is the brainchild of cigar aficionado Marko Bilic, founder of www.clubmareva.com in Split, Croatia. Now CSWC have qualification events in many countries around Europa and Mr. Reinhold Widmayer from Cigar Journal is actively supporting CSWC and find it to be one of the most beautiful cigar events in the world according to his magazine.
Royal Danish Cigars are the sponsor of CSWC and will organize the tour for those from Copenhagen Bigsmoke who would like to join the winner and compete in Split this year.
